Are you a driven engineer looking to develop control systems for some of the world's most advanced door solutions? At ASSA ABLOY Megadoor in Skellefteå, you will have the opportunity to work with technology used in everything from shipyards and aircraft hangars to the space industry and military applications. As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will be involved from the initial idea through to the finished product in production. You will work closely with the entire operation, combining your technical expertise with a drive to continuously develop and improve our solutions.

The position is remote, but we would prefer that you have a long-term plan to move to Skellefteå and become an integrated part of the local team.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop, design, and document new and existing control systems.
• Create electrical schematics, technical specifications, requirements, and bill of materials.
• Participate in development projects and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Provide technical support to production, installation, service, and project managers.
• Act as a technical sounding board for sales support.
• Work on improvements and further development of existing solutions.
• Develop working methods, processes, and documentation within electrical design.
• Work based on requirements linked to standards, directives, and technical documentation.

Who are we looking for?

You are solution-oriented, confident in your technical decisions, and thrive in collaboration with others, while taking ownership and driving your work forward. You appreciate when technology works in practice, not just on paper.

We are looking for you who hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or have equivalent education and experience working with control systems. You are accustomed to working based on requirements, standards, and directives, and have experience with technical documentation. Knowledge of functional safety and familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical are advantageous.
